At your library
Just for Kids
Your public library is the place to be if you're a young person in town. We have a bunch of fun stuff to do and can even get you help with your homework.
Here are some of the great programs we have to offer:
Storytime
Each month staff share their love of books and reinforce early literacy skills through stories, songs, and fingerplays in a small group setting. Storytimes are wonderful opportunities for children to learn to enjoy books and group activities.
- All storytimes are free, open to the public, and no registration is required except for Peterborough Family Resource Centre; It Starts with a Story! (3rd Wed of every month)
- Storytimes start promptly on schedule. Allow extra time for parking and getting nametags.
- Please refrain from bringing food and beverage into storytime.
- If children in your care become disruptive, please remove them until they are comfortable and ready to listen.
- For information on how home daycare groups may attend storytimes, please call 639-2228.

Family Movies at the Library
The Library is more than just a great place to get books. It's also a fun place to enjoy a family film... for FREE! Our Saturday Morning Screenings include film favorites for the whole family. Films start at 10am at the Norwood Branch.
Registration is not required and children under 8 years old must be accompanied to the movie by a parent or adult caregiver. See you at the show!
